About this site

I decided to create this website as I have for many years been fielding queries from many friends and contacts all around the world on how to create solutions to their pension problems.

I have been living in Asia for many years and I had not been following developments in the West so closely and I had not realized how underfinanced many pension systems have become. The more I studied this issue, the more concerned I became about the extent to which people have been affected by the changes with a lot of the responsibility for handing the future has been shifted from governments to individuals.

The purpose of easypension.info is to provide clear information for people so they can better understand the situation before they take decisions that will have a great impact on their future.

About me

Magnus JacobssonMy name is Magnus Jacobsson and I have a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics. I have 25 years experience in the financial markets, mainly in Europe and Asia. I grew up in Sweden and over the past two decades I have lived in a number of other countries, first in Europe and then in Asia.I have been a chief trader at stock and derivatives houses, working as a market-maker on many European markets. I have also worked as a fund manager for a European equity fund using derivatives as protection. Privately, I have founded companies investing in convertible bonds and equity-related derivatives.

I have always appreciated my personal freedom more than excessive amounts of money and have always tried to go my own way, so I voted no to Sweden’s entry to the EU in 1994, and then left for Shanghai in China, which was then just opening up its stock market. That was a real adventure, and for a number of years, I was the only foreigner working for a Chinese financial institution in China. After achieving financial success in China, I decided to semi-retire when I was 40 in year 2001, focusing on things I enjoy such as reading, golf, chess and investing in the stock markets.

I still help a few wealthy long-time customers, so-called high net-worth individuals (HNWI), with derivatives strategies to reduce their risk, but I do not take on new customers.
Perhaps one day I will partner with some entrepreneurs who have approached me and want to do some projects related to the pension industry. Time will tell.
